Bio

King Friday was started in January of 2006 as a side project of two other bands. Joe Fekete sought out guitarist Allen Meretsky in hopes of starting a band in which he could use some of the music he had been writing on the side, independent of his current band. Allen asked brothers Kyle and Ryan Shook if they would be willing to take a break from the group they had been playing with and join the duo, a proposition that they promptly agreed to. Drawing upon a vast number of influences from the Beach Boys to Built to Spill, King Friday has created a unique sound that anyone who enjoys music can identify with. Since its inception King Friday has produced one full-length album and is currently working on their first serious release, Ogres.
