Bio

In December of 2006, six kids from Southern New Hampshire stood backstage at their high school’s auditorium, waiting to perform in their town’s battle of the bands. They weren't their town's rockers, metal heads, punks or jam band crooners; they just played.

Two years later, as they stood on stage in front of a capacity crowd of over 250 screaming Double Yellow fans captivated by the release of their favorite group’s first full length album - they still just played. But their message had spread faster than anyone could anticipate.
A Double Yellow live performance is a mix of technical precision and laid back, friendly and hopelessly heartwarming stage atmosphere. Their songwriting, influenced by groups like Maroon 5, Matchbox 20, and The Calling to name a few, is easy to sing along with, easy to relate to, and easy to fall in love with.

“Just Play”

Award winning vocalist and former comedic solo artist Ryan Quintal serves as the front-man of the group. His easily recognizable vocal style and friendly, affectionate stage presence serve as the basis of The Double Yellow’s stage show. He is backed by lead guitarist Evan Hedrich, keyboardist Jeff Moore, rhythm guitarist Kevin Thibault, bassist Will Hedrich and percussionist Andrew Cote.

The musical backgrounds of their lineup range from former national competitive champions to collegiate composers, and from classically trained performers to self-admitted metal heads, but onstage, they are just six friends doing what they love, and sharing it with their audience – their fans – their friends.

The Double Yellow’s signature style of personable, friendly stage presence, coupled with their catchy, melodic, and memorable songwriting, have won them the affection of fans across the northeast. The arrogance of a typical rock concert is gone. The meaningful band-audience relationship is back, and The Double Yellow is spearheading the movement, without sacrificing the music.
