Bio
The Curtana Veil first formed in the spring of 2005.
Its only member was Ryan Austin Kanterman at the time.
His unique sound of acoustic, folk, rock, and
storytelling was just enough for him to hit the
road down the east coast by himself.
He took his music and his studies overseas for a brief
4 month period to London,UK and decided there that his
songs were missing something...a band. So when he
returned to the US in the summer of 2006, he started
jamming with Dave Kaplan (Bass), Ali Malik (Guitar),
James Patterson (Drums), and Brian Smith (Guitar) to form the ideal sound
to compliment his acoustically driven songs.
Public Service Announcement:
People will find a reason to make fun of any type of music.
I say f**k them! If someone is willing to write music with
pure emotion, happy or sad, let them do it. Respect them for
putting their experiences out there, and leave it at that.
Everyone has a story to tell, so let them tell it.
If you can respect me and the music I write, then I will respect you.
