Bio
Monstrum was formed in the summer of 2004, by band members Jonny T, playing guitar, and J-Russ, playing bass. Punk music is the group's specialty, having a style that imitates that of the group's favorite band, Bad Religion. Jonny T had been playing guitar since 2002, but had started his musical career on bass. Jeff had just taken up bass and was eager to begin. The band immediately began work and wrote five songs; Voltage, Deadlines, Therefore I Am, Conquistador, and SSN. J-Russ's switchover to guitar in 2005 allowed Monstrum to begin writing more involved guitar pieces. The band recorded its first album, Until I Reach the Shore, in the summer of 2006. A new album is in the process of being completed.
