Bio
FINALLY! Into an era filled with shallow, over-played power pop and hip hop comes Boston-based singer-songwriter Jon Robert. A name that is synonymous with catchy pop melodies, great song-writing, emotive vocals, and sincere passion, Jon Robert is riding the wave of excitement for the release of his highly anticipated debut full-length album "MEANT TO BE."
This record has been long-awaited by both fans and industry professionals from Maine to California. Over the past three years, Jon has performed over 400 shows to crowds of up to 18,000 in attendance.
It all started with a call from a leading artist management company asking JR to perform in front of a sold-out 4000 seat arena opening for the teen pop sensation JoJo. The reaction from the crowd was visibly sensational, and led to JR opening for JOHN MAYER, MAROON 5, JAMES BLUNT, COUNTING CROWS, THE JONAS BROTHERS AND THE POLICE.
Off the stage, Jon Robert has built and maintained an astonishing presence on the internet securing thousands of fans on Myspace, MTVU, YouTube, and Facebook . Accompanying his online success, Jon Robert's 2007 EP was licensed to MTV and has received multiple placements on "THE REAL WORLD, "THE GAUNTLET III," and most recently "THE HILLS." His song "TOUCH DOWN" was featured on the show's season finale, AN EPISODE THAT WAS WATCHED BY 33.7 MILLION VIEWERS.
Released on Texas-based upstart label Red Cup Records, a percentage of Jon Robert's record sales will be donated to a charity that helps homeless children. "This is just the beginning," says JR. After hearing a sneak preview of the new record, fan anticipation is sure to be intense. The album is a pop-infused modern day classic. Performing songs like the title track "MEANT TO BE" and "MYSELF IN YOU" along with ballads such as " VICTIM FOR LIFE" and "CLEAR," look for Jon Robert everywhere in 2008!

Hi Everybody,
I just wanted to drop you all a line and see how everyone is doing? We've been having some WaCkY weather up here in Boston, man I miss CA.... Anywho.. I have a bunch of shows coming up with Chris Barron of the Spin Doctor's. Chris has been an idol of mine since forever ago, both for his songwriting and singing ability. So in a nutshell, I feel honored to be sharing a stage with him. So come on down, I always love meeting new fans, and if you're an older "JR concert goer" you know I spend time to get to know all of you. Jon, I love the music. Only in Your Eyes has really in depth lyrical ideas and the hook is infectious. You seem like a weathered performer with youth on your side. Pretty tight. I have lots of friends at Oreno and I'd check you out in my hometown of Chicago.
Tell me what you think of my band out of Boston - maybe we can trade a gig or two or split a bill next time you're in town.
