This is unbelievable for us. We were beyond words but we’d like to especially thank all those who voted for us making this possible. THANKS EVERYONE! Thanks Epitaph and thanks MTVU!

We’ve been working hard for a long time now developing our sound and with the help of our friends we now feel we’re on a path that is not only uniquely distinct but also exciting for us as musicians. Hopefully this opportunity will allow us to explore many new possibilities and in the end enable us to create some really cool songs together with honing our current material.

We’d also like to wish the best of luck to all the musicians who participated in this event. Support all original music. Without the help from fans of original music the dream of winning something like this would be impossible.

Bio

Settle is an edgy dance rock band that has uniquely combined styles associated with pop punk and the beats of 70's disco. A sound that is similar to groups such as the Liars, Rapture and Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more currently popular bands such as the Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Hot Hot Heat.

Settle is a cool looking youthful band with members that include: Nick Rose - Vocals/Guitar/Bass/Synth, Willie Rose - Drums/Synth and Dave Goletz - Guitar/Bass/Hammond Organ/Synth/Backup Vocals (average age 20). They are credited with more than 80,000 MP3s downloads, 90 original compositions and have distributed 10,000 plus CDs. They play out regularly (125-150 shows per year) targeting regionally packed audiences from 15 – 30 years of age. Settle singles are currently distributed by more than 40 web based companies.The band is currently working with producer Sebastian Robertson on an EP that will be used to pitch later this year.
