Bio

The Mathias brothers and friend Casey Gibson grew up together making music in the city of Chicago. For a decade the young rock and roll quartet wrote constantly, recorded religiously, and performed anywhere and everywhere they could. Now in their early twenties, with eight albums, two national tours and hundreds of shows under their belts, Filligar has arrived on the national scene with critical acclaim.

Filligar's recent US tour featured sold-out shows at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles, Lincoln Hall in Chicago, Bowery Electric in NYC, Middle East in Boston, Hotel Utah in San Francisco, and Circle Bar in New Orleans. They played festivals headlined by Eric Clapton, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Roger Daltrey, ZZ Top, and B.B. King. Filligar also recently shared the stage with notables such as The Black Keys, B.o.B., The Cool Kids, and Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights.

College Music Journal Marathon was a blast!!!

Peter - 10/26/09 7:17 PM

We just spent the week in New York City at the CMJ Music Marathon. We got to hang with lots of cool industry folks and DJs from college radio stations from all over. We learned lots of juicy insider-tips for how indie-bands can be effective at getting their music on college radio. We also had a showcase on Friday night at the historical and hip Arlene's Grocery, and it was a packed house. On Saturday night we played at Alpha Delta Phi at Columbia for a cool group of kids. Thanks to everyone for the love. We are now heading to Hamilton College to play the final show of this little tour we have been on.

Lots of love,

Pete
