Filligar is a band out of Dartmouth and Hamilton College. They've had music featured on MTV's Buzzin', Sixteen and Pregnant, College Life and the Real World Hollywood. They just completed a 30+ city tour (including 10 colleges and a showcase at the CMJ Marathon in NYC) and are now working on a new album.
They have performed at colleges throughout the country including Dartmouth, Hamilton, Middlebury, Colby, Cornell, USC, University of the South, Duke, Washington University, George Washington University, Columbia, Rhode Island School of Design, Northwestern, Marquette University, University of Pennsylavia, and University of Virgina. The popular college blog IvyGate has dubbed them the number 1 band in the Ivy League.
Bio
The last few months have been full of buzz for Filligar. Their recent release, "Near or Far," reached the CMJ Top 200 for College Radio. American Rock critic Jim DeRogatis and radio icon Roe Conn have both endorsed the band. MTV has featured six Filligar songs on its programming. Their live show is exciting and fresh, and their records have garnered praise from publications like the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, and popular blogs like I Guess I'm Floating. Filligar has performed with the Black Keys, the Cool Kids, Eve 6, B.o.B, Wale, and Pronto (a Wilco side project).
Their 2009 "Stray Dogs Tour" includes over 30 cities, festival appearances at Forward Music Fest (Madison), CMJ (NYC), Dewey Beach (DE), and Next Big Nashville, and performances at colleges such as Cornell, Middleburry, Dartmouth, Sewanee, Duke, University of Virginia, and Marquette.
Filligar is Casey Gibson, Johnny, Pete, and Teddy Mathias.

College Music Journal Marathon was a blast!!!

We just spent the week in New York City at the CMJ Music Marathon. We got to hang with lots of cool industry folks and DJs from college radio stations from all over. We learned lots of juicy insider-tips for how indie-bands can be effective at getting their music on college radio. We also had a showcase on Friday night at the historical and hip Arlene's Grocery, and it was a packed house. On Saturday night we played at Alpha Delta Phi at Columbia for a cool group of kids. Thanks to everyone for the love. We are now heading to Hamilton College to play the final show of this little tour we have been on.
