2. I can't find my school on the list when I try to sign up?
You can add your school by selecting the state of your college/university, then in the next field select “My school is not listed below” and enter your school.

3. I entered Best Music on Campus this past spring and the year before, can I enter again?
Definitely! We'd love to have you back—and we hope you'll take advantage of all the updated features you'll find this time around.

4. Why did I get an a message saying my account is active if it is still not visible?
All content must be reviewed by mtvU. Your account can be active for you to begin submitting content but will not be visible or live until it has been approved.

Artist Topics
1. How do I invite a band member?
In your ARTIST PROFILE select the ARTIST INFO tab. In the INVITE A BAND MEMBER field enter your band member's email address and click invite. You must enter each member individually.
An email is then sent to that individual with further instructions

2. One or more of my songs got denied due to inappropriate content, but the song had no explicit lyrics?
Aside from explicit lyrics there can also not be any inappropriate references to illegal drug us, violence, or use of any word or phrase that wouldn't be allowed on-air at mtvU.

3. Signed up but now all members are no longer in college?
Unfortunately, you're not eligible for any of our Best Music on Campus opportunities, but we'll tag you as alumni. Who knows—you still might get discovered.

5. What if I'm not in college?
That's OK—as long as one member of your band is. That person's got to be the one who sets up the account—although everyone else will have access to it too.

6. What is the rating system?
It's simple. Visitors rate each band by going on its profile. The higher the rating—the more exposure that band gets on the site.

2. How do I become the Artist of the Week?
How do I become the Artist of the Week? mtvU will look at your profiles, check out your rating, listen to your songs and choose a new winner every week.

3. Why do all the members have to opt in for a contest?
Everyone must agree to the terms of the official rules including prizing.

4. How do I and all of my members opt in for a contest?
Once a band member has an account they have access to the artist admin and can opt in.
In your ARTIST PROFILE select the HOME tab. Under CURRENT CONTESTS, click on the drop down menu to select the contest you would like to enter. Once you have selecte

5. How do I get featured as 'Most Popular' and 'Newest'?
To get 'Popular' get people to visit your page, stream your songs, play your videos, and rate your band.
Newbies get featured on 'Newest' automatically.
Use 'Send to a Friend' function and spread the word!
